B2B ecommerce platforms and stores

We offer both new platform development and migration of existing ones. We integrate ecommerce with ERP / PIM / WMS systems.

B2b platform — modern b2b online store for companies

B2B customers order the way your system lets them

B2B orders retyped by hand from email into the ERP
A customer calls to ask about stock. They ask for the current price list in Excel and send the order by email. A sales rep types it into the ERP, checks the discount from the contract and replies with a delivery date. Every new customer adds to that work.

On a B2B platform, customers do it themselves. They log in, see their own prices and stock, and the order goes straight to the ERP. They check the status, invoice and tracking number in their account. Your sales reps get time back for talking to customers. New companies register on their own: we identify them by tax ID (NIP) and pull their details from the Polish business register (GUS).

Our B2B Platform Concept

B2b store — professional b2b online store for business

We do ecommerce. And we know-how.

At ecom.house, we combine ecommerce consulting with full implementation responsibility. We accompany you at every stage of the project, balancing business and technological requirements to create solutions that achieve specific goals.

We understand your company's needs, minimize technical debt, and design scalable systems that support long-term growth. From pre-implementation analysis and design, through integrations and migrations, to stable operation and dedicated functionalities — together we build ecommerce ready for tomorrow's challenges.

How we implement a B2B platform

Analysis takes 2-3 weeks, implementation 2-4 months.

1. Conversation and architecture

After the first conversations, we draw an outline architecture: store, ERP, PIM, payments and shipping.

2. Analysis with workshops

We sit down with your sales team, marketing and your ecommerce lead to go through price lists, trade terms, customer accounts and integrations. We settle questions such as who sees the catalog, whether it's only verified customers, and whether each one has an assigned account manager. After the analysis, you get the scope and a fixed price for the implementation.

3. UX/UI design

We design the look and the B2B customer journeys: login, catalog, cart and account panel. In parallel, we start the ERP integration.

4. ERP integration

We connect prices, stock and customer accounts. Customer group price lists come from the ERP and refresh every night, and each order comes back from the ERP with its status, invoice and shipment.

5. B2B features

We build what we agreed in the analysis, for example a catalog visible after login, customer prices, an assigned account manager or cart import from CSV.

6. Testing and launch

We test the whole order flow on a copy of the platform. Once you approve it, we launch it for your customers.

When an off-the-shelf B2B platform is enough

Off-the-shelf B2B platform or Magento - when each one pays off
We tell you on the first call. A subscription B2B platform is enough when:
  • customers order from a single catalog, and prices differ by a percentage discount at most,
  • you can move orders into your system by hand or through a ready-made connector,
  • you sell in one market.
A dedicated platform, for example one built on Magento, makes sense when B2B is part of a bigger setup: customer group price lists from the ERP, orders coming back from the ERP with an invoice, B2B and B2C on shared stock, or shipping costs calculated from many variables. At Plastics, there are over 40,000 such combinations. An off-the-shelf platform then needs workarounds, and every workaround has to be maintained later.

E-com.house took over the maintenance and development of our online bookstore Literia.pl in November 2018. During that time their team has proven to be very competent in using Magento - the engine that our store has been built on. Moreover, our cooperation runs in a relaxed atmosphere – the e-com.house team members I've met are simply very nice and helpful people.

B2B platform FAQ

How do you move a B2B platform to a new system?

We start with an analysis of the current system: where prices come from, who creates customer accounts and what sales reps do by hand today. The new platform is built alongside the old one and goes through tests of the order flow with the ERP, and the switchover comes with a ready procedure to roll back. That's how we moved Canpol off PIMCore: two B2C brands and the B2B service now run on a single Magento.

Does ecom.house integrate B2B ecommerce with ERP systems and other tools?

Yes, we specialize in integrating B2B platforms with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics), PIM, WMS, and data buses. Our integrations ensure process automation, data consistency, and streamlined business operations, adapting your B2B store to the dynamic needs of your market.

How does ecom.house help reduce technical debt in B2B systems?

We analyze current technologies and processes, identifying areas that require modernization. We implement new solutions that improve performance and security of your B2B platform, eliminating outdated elements that may limit the development of your ecommerce infrastructure.

How much does a B2B platform implementation cost?

We set the price after a joint scope analysis. The cost depends mainly on the ERP integration (prices and stock only, or the whole order cycle with invoices), on the number of pricing models and on the channels: B2B alone or B2B next to a B2C store. The analysis takes 2-3 weeks, and after it we give you a fixed price for the implementation.

How long does a B2B platform implementation take?

Pre-implementation analysis takes 2-3 weeks, implementation 2-4 months. The ERP integration has the biggest impact on timing: what the ERP exposes and whether anything changes on its side along the way. In one project, the ERP vendor retired the old price and stock endpoints, so we switched the integration to the new one.

What can the B2B platforms we implement do?

It depends on how you sell. Our implementations include, among others:
  • a catalog and prices visible only to verified customers,
  • customer group price lists from the ERP, refreshed every night,
  • an account manager assigned to each customer account,
  • discounts for ordering full pallets,
  • cart import from a CSV file,
  • company registration by tax ID (NIP) with details from the Polish business register (GUS),
  • splitting the cart into a parcel, a pallet and our client's own transport, with pickup at a branch,
  • one ERP item as two products, separately for B2B and B2C, with separate stock.

Can we test the B2B platform before full implementation?

Absolutely! We offer phased implementations and pilot launches for selected customer groups. You can also use our demonstration version of the B2B online store, which allows you to practically familiarize yourself with the system's functionalities before deciding on full implementation.

What happens after the B2B platform goes live?

The next stages from the plan come in. At Canpol, after the B2B launch, we added customer group price lists from the ERP and separate stock for B2B and B2C, among other things. We handle security updates and monitoring under a maintenance agreement.

Off-the-shelf B2B platform or Magento?

A subscription platform is enough with a single catalog, prices that differ by a percentage discount, and orders you can move into your system by hand or with a ready-made connector. We choose Magento when prices and orders have to flow from and to the ERP, or when B2B has to run next to a B2C store on shared stock.

Who implements B2B platforms on Magento?

B2B platforms on Magento are implemented by software houses and ecommerce agencies that integrate stores with ERP systems. Since 2017, ecom.house has delivered 40+ implementations, including B2B platforms for Canpol and Plastics. When choosing a company, ask which ERP systems it has already integrated with and whether it starts with an analysis of your sales processes.
